A 10/10 long weekend itinerary on the Llŷn Peninsula includes…

Watching the sun rise and set ☀️

The Llyn Peninsula is perfectly situated for some amazing sunrises and sunsets surrounded by dramatic coast and mountain scenery too!

Exploring on two wheels 🚲

The area is perfect for exploring by bike with its quiet roads, panoramic views and charming local businesses. If you’re not a fan of hills or long rides, don’t worry, our electric bikes can give you that extra oomph leaving you to enjoy the care free feeling that comes with riding a bike.

Visiting cafes and local businesses 🛍️

The local cafes and businesses of Pen Llyn are one of its best kept secrets. The stunning seaside cafes, The Little Tea Rooms Abersoch, Caffi Largo Pwllheli, Llanbedrog Beach Bar, Caffi Porthor, Caffi Porthdinllaen, Caffi Traeth Aberdaron, Becws Islyn Nefyn (to name a few) are all amazingly located a stones throw from the beach and serve fantastic food and drink. Then there’s the shops. Abersoch’s high street is not to be missed, but away from the high street there’s also treasure to be founds at Cwt Tatws in Tudweiliog and Shed Neigwl just outside Abersoch.

Paddle boarding, wildlife spotting and swimming 🐬

Paddle boarding is a relaxing and fun way to get on the water. Whether you sit, kneel, stand or simply jump on and off, it’s fun for everyone. Be sure to check the conditions are suitable, wear a buoyancy aid and leash, take a phone, and know your limits. We can help you find the perfect spot to enjoy paddle boarding safely, and hopefully you’ll spot some of our amazing local wildlife including dolphins, seals and puffins.

Drinking in the scenery 🍻

If you’re a fan of drink with a view there are some amazing waterside bars on the Llŷn Peninsula including; Ty Coch Porthdinllaen, The Cove Abersoch, Gwesty Ty Newydd Aberdaron, The View Pwllheli, Zinc Abersoch, and The Cliffs Morfa Nefyn are well worth a visit, cheers!

Walking the coast path 🥾

Established in 2012 the Wales coast path runs the entire coast of Wales and is simply breathtaking. Pretty much any section of the path on Pen Llŷn will deliver amazing views and the chance to get lost in nature.

Sampling delicious food 🍦

We know we’ve listed quite a few eateries already but there are so many amazing cafes and restaurants in the area but we can’t help recommending some more. For coffee, cake and ice cream Two Islands in Abersoch is not to be missed. For fine dining we recommend The Dining Room Abersoch and Tremfan Hall Llanbedrog.

Conquering mountains ⛰️

There are some amazing hikes to be had in the area. Some of our favourites include Garn Ganol (Yr Eifl), Carn Fadryn, Mynydd Rhiw, and Mynydd Mawr nr Aberdaron. All of these reward you with breathtaking 360 degree views, but don’t just take our word for it!
